Such Freedom

Did you know that there is an estimation of 100,000,000 persecuted Christians in the world and thousands of those are not allowed to own a Bible or have one that is translated into their language. Countries like Vietnam don’t even have a completed illustrated Children’s Bible. When I think about this it makes me realise how much I take for granted the Bible I have in my own home; how easy it is for me to simply pick it up and read it and know that it won’t get taken away from me.
Are you the same? Whether you own 1, 2 or 3 Bibles, I wonder how often you read or feel privileged to even own a Bible? Maybe your Bible has been sat on you shelf or bedside table for some time, gathering up the dust.
Maybe it’s now time for us to realize how lucky we are to be allowed to buy and own as many Bibles as we like. Let’s use this day to be thankfull for the freedom we have in this country; the freedom to read his word and walk proudly in the name of Christ.
