SHOCKWAVE Madagascan style

6 March 08

One place where SHOCKWAVE really rocked was in the capital of Madagascar! Something like 600 people gathered to pray for the persecuted.

Hanitra one of the organisers told us how the event went:

SHOCKWAVE was not just an event , it was an apportunity of hundreds of young people from different denominations (more than six hundred)to show their hunger for God and their deep compassion toward their suffering brothers and sisters all around the world.

It was so touching seeing so many youth and teens and senior people coming together on Friday night meeting from 9.00pm to 5.00am the next morning. We have been praying for the Suffering Church in more than 30 countries, through the 10/40 window in a small group, but three countries were presented to all the “Shockwavers” to pray for: North Korea presented by a South korea missionnary from YWAM working in Madagascar, Saudi Arabia and China, teenagers under 18 were praying for the youth under 18 in China, It was a marathon of prayer. Everyone has experienced the power of prayer, and saw it as a privilege to serve the Suffering Church.

We also prayed for the goverments in each country and the persecutors, for the unreached people there, and for more missionnairies to be sent out to these countries.

We wrote also letters to encourage our family and we watched the Open Doors videos.”
